Our Team
Brian E. Langford
- Brian E. Langford graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance, and received his Juris Doctor degree cum laude from Stetson University College of Law. Mr. Langford practices primarily in the areas of Bankruptcy, Real Estate, Corporate and Business law.
- Mr. Langford is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association. He is also a member of the Real Estate Investment Council (REIC) and the Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Realtors (FGCAR).
- Mr. Langford is President of Summit Title & Financial Services, Inc., a full service title insurance agency for Fidelity National Title Insurance Company, Commonwealth Land Title Insurance Company and Chicago Title Insurance Company, which was founded in 1994.
- Mr. Langford is admitted to practice before all state courts of the State of Florida, as well as the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida and the Florida Middle District Bankruptcy Court.
Matt C. Myers
- An AV rated attorney, Matt C. Myers graduated from Seton Hall University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Certificates in Business, and Pre-Business Law, and received his Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law, and Master of Laws degree in International Law and Business from Stetson University College of Law. Mr. Myers practices primarily in the areas of Banking, Business, Corporate and Real Estate law.
- Mr. Myers is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association (Corporate Counsel, and Real Property Probate and Trust Sections), the American Bar Association and the Florida Bar (Real Property Probate and Trust Law, Business Law, and International Law Sections). He is also a member of the Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Realtors (FGCAR) and an agent for Attorneys' Title Insurance Fund, Inc.
- Mr. Myers was admitted into the Florida Bar and U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida in 2000.
Helen M. Skala
- Education: Helen M. Skala graduated from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology and Sociology. After earning her undergraduate degree, she attended Florida A&M University College of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree and was on the Dean's List in 2011. She was admitted into the Florida Bar in 2011.
- Practice Areas: Ms. Skala practices primarily in the area of Civil Litigation. Her litigation practice focuses on foreclosures, general real estate matters, and landlord/tenant disputes. She also handles cases from inception through mediation, litigation and trial.
- Experience: Ms. Skala has significant civil litigation experience, including without limitation, in residential mortgage foreclosures representing a variety of lending institutions. Ms. Skala was also in-house counsel for a large national bank, where she worked in the home lending litigation department with a focus on early dispute resolution.
- Ms. Skala is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association. She is licensed to practice in all Florida state courts and the U.S. Middle District Court of Florida.
