- E. C. Langford graduated from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida with a degree in accounting, and received his Juris Doctor degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas. Mr. Langford practiced primarily in the areas of Business and Corporate law, Banking, Real Property matters, and Commercial litigation.
- Mr. Langford was a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Attorney and a Florida Bar Board Certified Business Litigation Attorney. He was a member of the Hillsborough County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Florida Bar, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, and was a past master of the Tampa Bay Inn of Court.
- Mr. Langford was admitted to practice before all state courts of the State of Florida (1978), as well as the U. S. District Court, Middle District (1978), the U.S. Court of Appeal, Fifth (1979) and Eleventh Circuits (1981), the U.S. Tax Court (1981), and the United States Supreme Court (1997).
- He served as Chairman of the Board for The Palm Bank. Additionally, Mr. Langford was President and a director of Market Capital Corporation, formed in 1964, an SBIC company.
